Unless you are planning to brutalize the car, the Clutch Masters FX200 is fairly light and robust.

I'll probably go with Competition when I get into more HP and Torque. As long as it doesn't change the cockpit to a gym.

IDK, tomioka has a twin disc kit out now as well.

I have an ACT sprung street disc with an xtreme pressure plate and I get lock out issues fairly frequently, its annoying. I am definitely doing a twin of some sort when I pull the motor after this summer. I'm not sure how exactly u can install it wrong like someone else noted, I had the flywheel resurfaced and torqued all the flywheel and pressure plate bolts down equally. The clutch is adjusted so it engages fairly close to the top of the throw so it's disengaging fully. I even notice sometimes when im doing third gear pulls and push the clutch in and go to just take it out of gear it feels as if it's grabbing some cause I can feel the resistance of the gear set as I take it out of gear. For daily driving it's a dream no chatter and shifts fine, but I didn't buy it just for putting around town. Anyone use a quartermaster twin? I know twins don't get nearly as much mileage out of them, but I hear the more u beat on em the harder they grab and they shift dreamy. I could care less about the noise if it functions good. My car is pretty loud already!

To the OP, what plans do you have for the car this summer? What power levels are you expecting. I'd either recommend a twin or the Competition Street clutch over the ACT. It's 50/50 with an ACT...some guys have lock out, some guys don't. English Racing tested Comp's new street clutch with the 3000lb pressure plate and street disc and it seems to hold up very well and no lock out issues! GLW picking your clutch bud!
I personally have no problem with the noise at all but i figure i would inform him seeing as everyone feels differently...I like your theory tho...Since it's not a Cadillac who cares...Makes complete sense

I plan on getting it to around 400-410 whp on 93...I'm at 342 with tbe, intake and fuel pump...I'm going with cams, injectors and a bigger intercooler with all the piping...so I'm trying to figure what will be the best clutch for that because I kno I'll have issues with the stock clutch

That's not going to get you to 400whp, you'll need e85 or a bigger turbo. Clutches are rated for torque and if you plan on staying with stock motor then you just need to keep it at or under 400tq which a twin disc, act hdss, or comp stage 2 clutch will work at that power level.

I have the clutchmasters fx400 it is not to bad. There is a tiny bit of chatter but that is the only problem with it and it is nice to a very light clutch.

Reall? I figured the cams, injectors and AMS intercooler would bring me real close to around 400, since I'm already at 342 oh well either way Im just looking for a decent clutch to go with what ever it makes to the wheels...I'm not really trying to mess with the block or the turbo I'm trying to get the most out of the stock set up, with out pushing it to far...I've been thinking about that Evo green turbo from buschur tho to add to the cams and injectors list
