Welcome to the Evo game.
Clutches will go out many many more times. Learn how to do it yourself and you could be paying less than half the cost you are paying.

My clutch went, though I decided on a higher grade clutch(Exedy Twin disc HD) Which is setting me back $2100 for the clutch and $500 for install.

That is crazy high for that clutch! Here in the States we can get the Exedy Twin HD plus install for $2000. Have you tried messaging vendors on this site to get better pricing?

What mods do you have? I have a myriad of posts explaining why the stock clutch is in many cases better than any of these "high performance" clutches.

If it's the auto wagon why would he need a clutch?

Was it a stock clutch? I am getting ready to put a quartermaster 8 leg in and it's around 1500. I put an ACT clutch in it myself awhile back, but it had a cracked pressure plate, so ACT gave me a new xtreme plate and relined my street disk and threw in a TOB for like 80 bucks. Tranny rebuild was salty though! $1850. On the price of the clutch install, oem clutches are im guessing around 3-500 so thats roughly like 1100 bucks for labor???

I Bought it from MAP for $1600, however I had to pay $250 shipping and $250 Import Duty tax to get it into Australia.

If I were you I would try to become friends with someone who owns a shop with a lift with access to plenty of tools with an airgun and try to accomplish the task yourself. before you do watch videos take not hell even take note of the D.I.Y;s on this forum it will serve you well.

Or atleast rent their lift im sure they wont say no. Youll save so much more money that way and you may be even able to make money out of it for yourself working on other cars just like yours for the people that dont want to go to the dealership. If you dont have the money work for free at the shop in exchange for use of the lift.
