Hey guys!

I'm at wits ends, several mechanics have told me not to worry, its just a lifter so Ive continued driving it, but is it possible Ive burnt a exhaust valve? Or have bad oil pressure?

What could be causing the tick?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Who installed your lifters?

Were they bled when they were installed?

Does the tick get louder or quieter under certain circumstances? (Temperature, running time, oil pressure etc).

 

I Installed the lifters, I bleed them down with a paper clip, i didn't bleed them in diesel like some people suggest though, I have only done 80kms with new lifters.

 

bearings, maybe?

 

If you want to be sure it's not a burnt valve maybe you should make a compression test and see if reading is the same on 4 cylinders
Mine is ticking also since I've installed kelford, I've tried a lot of things to stop it but I can't. The engine was even totally rebuild but still ticking. I guess I'll live with it
