You could come to Texas and get one from me and have a nice vacation back and still be thousands ahead. Something tells me they'll be dusting that showroom showoff for a long time.

Well Im just trying to find a steady job right now. And once I do Ill probably get one. Because my parents said they would cosign the loan and help pay insurance and payments if needed.

 

I suggest waiting for the 04 EVO to come out. Should be in the showrooms by April and they're supposedly offering a 100K mile warranty. Not that it matters much if you're doing extensive mods (Mitsu is watching modded EVOs very tightly!). A local dealer is putting window stickers out on 03 EVOs with ricer wing for 29K right now and they'll take less my friend. Certainly 28K when the new 04s are out. I'll probably sell mine for an 04 later this year. I'm sure Cali is different so good luck!

 

I want an '04 with no sunroof, no leather, no CF but with the 315 watt Infinity sound system. I'll have to check into special ordering one that way I'm sure. I don't know if the stereo/leather is available separately or only as an option set. If you have to get leather for sound I'll skip it. I'll probably go with the CF as well since apparently every single one is optioned that way.

 

Hope it all works out for you DrVolkl, you'll enjoy the switch from Maxima to Evolution, it's quite a difference but well worth it. I still drive the Maxima occasionally, but only when it snows (until I get all season tires) and long trips.

 

Yeah, I was pretty excited to go in there and see what I could do. I'm supposed to go back today so they can "work the #'s". But at the point I really don't feel like it. Basically the sales guy that I sat down with seemed extra sleezy. He was telling me how great an investment this car is...and "how it was in a movie", so everyone wants it. I almost walked out right there. It's too bad they just can't shoot straight, I really felt like I was at a used car dealership..and a poor one at that! My maxima is my 12th car in 13 years....I know a little about how the game works, and these guys did not impress me at all! Really too bad...I'll have to search at another dealership for sure...but for now, I'm evoless.

 

Hey guys im new to posting on the forums(been reading on them like a year now) I current have a 02 Lancer OZ and im going to be buying my EVO in FEB/MARCH. Ive Going to the Dealers every weekend almost religiously and SUN i spoke with the FLEET manager at my local MITSU DEALER. I WANT BLU BY YOU/SUNROOF/BIG SPOILER. THEY HAD ONE BLUE BY YOU NO SUNROOF IN THE LOT. HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE LAST ONE IN SOCAL. AND THAT HE WOULD NOT BE GETTING ANYMORE UNTILL DEC WHEN THE 04's COME OUT. NOW I JUST CANT BRING MYSELF to believe that the 04's are coming in Dec. I Smell B.S !! What do u guys think.
