Question stupid clutch!

I'm starting to get the impression that my clutch is on its way out

I have a exedy stage 3, it has been on the car since i bought it, iv'e put around 7k on it and it has around 10k on it entirely. the clutch was put in by professionals, but whose to say it was put in properly.

The clutch will randomly slip in 5th 60-70mph, or 3rd 45-55mph, and hop about 2k revs then catch and will hold through the whole gear. This happens like once or twice once i get on the freeway. Then it will hold the rest of my ride, whatever i through at it.

I noticed this a little bit over a week ago, a little after i had my trans fluid changed from diaqueen to redline. It only slips when I'm not shifting a lot, driving to work on the free way, so i was thinking maybe it has to do with the clutch not being hot enough or not enough friction and its not catching. Is it possible for the clutch to slip occasionally when it wants? I'm not totally sure which is why I'm asking all of you, maybe you know why my clutch is slipping randomly?

BTW- i have done test to check if my clutch is slipping, high gear and low revs to WOT and it held. From a stop with the ebrake on in gear release the clutch and it stalls.

thanks, bryan

Sounds similar when my stock clutch was beginning to give up. Would only slip when the clutch was cold & under boost on the freeway. I was pushing approx 400 dyno jet HP through it. Stock clutch lasted 40K miles

I replaced the clutch & flywheel to correct. Please confirm before you do the same

Sounds just like when my exedy started to go... I babied it an additional 10k before it finally let go. Only reason I babied it is because my DD had a quarter sized hole in one of the pistons...
