Question What will break?

So I currently am running the mods list that is in my signature and am about to to GSC S1 cams and a 3" ETS FMIC also. My guess is that with these mods I will be in the high 300hp range. I was talking to my friend about this recently and he told me that once you reach a certain hp you run the risk of snapping an axle if it is not an aftermarket one meant to handle the power. Of course this is probably under a high stress launch of it I would assume... but I was curious as to what supporting mods I may be lacking that could handle some aggressive driving and prevent breaking? Or is my friend misinformed?

Thank you in advance.

(I know the jist of the IX MR 6-Speed being kind of weak by the way, so beyond that)

I haven't heard of an axle or anything breaking in the high 300's. 500+ maybe.

Your driving habits, maintenence of the Evo and situation all comes into play here.

I romp my Evo, but I take care of it as well.

He was saying he read a thread on here stating that the axle was iffy at 400+ so I wanted to make sure I wasn't at a high risk for that. Thank you! About to do 120k maint on it so I will be short on money for a bit so I wanted to know the risks

It's an awd drive car with a 50:50 split. The chances of you breaking an axle is 1/2 that of your typical car, theoretically of course. Truely nothing to worry about. You should be looking at your transfer case or transmission if you are looking for something to loose sleep over.

If you will be short of money, I will recommend to you, that only race at roll races; do never do brute or high stress launches if you are short of money, and you will be safe of any risks; believe me. Thanks.
