rpm hang issue?

while im driving if i push the clutch in over 2200rpm the rpm's will hang there as if the car has cruise control, it never drops unless i put the car in 1st and slowly let off the clutch with no gas to get it to roll, then the rpms will fall... now if im driving and i push the clutch in under 2200rpm they will drop to normal idle. anyone have any idea what could be causing that to happen? its a PITA when in traffic. iac? throttle cable issue? any help would be appreciated. thanks! btw running AEM (no maf)

Had the same issue.

1.) Clean your throttle body with cleaner.
2.) Is it an aftermarket throttle body? If so, it just may need replaced. Basically the flap isn't closing properly due to issues with the housing or flap. I changed to a different brand and it's been fine ever since.

I recently got my car tuned and it now does this mine hangs at 3k for like a second with the clutch pressed in. I assume since my rpm hang problem came from a tune that a tune could also fix it.

Maybe you have too stiff of a spring. I'm using a 9 psi spring right now and want to try out the 7 psi one. I still have a little huff from the turbo before the TiAL opens, or at least sounds like it is, so I'm gonna try a softer one and see if it alleviates it.

I attempted that. Its a pretty aggressive clutch, I feel like I don't have much play in the pedal now

Check the TB seals as well, especially if youre going to clean it. Mine use to "hang" as well, and I alleviated the problem with new milspec TB seals.

yeah, check those tb seals. i ran into a similar problem, except if i would push the car hard for a short burst, it would hang around 3k and my air/fuel gauge would read lean (instead of "---" indicating the tb is closed) and sure enough i had a seal that was in absolutely horrendous shape
