Changing timing belt
Cars out of time, idles really low, I went wot in fourth twice and I got high knock, also oil lamp flickers on then off intermittently. Looks like its time to pull it apart and do it again.
You need to make sure your oil pump gear is not 180deg out of phase. There is an access plug in front of the block. You should pull it out and make sure you can slide a medium sized screwdriver or something similar in there. ThAt ensures the balance shaft lobe is in the correct orientation while your lining up you oil pump gear. In other words your oil pump gear rotation is not 1:1 ratio with the balance shaft. It is 2:1. An out of phase balance shaft will def cause knock and the other symptoms your describing. If your not following the FSM, or at the very least the timing belt how-to on this site you should be. A rebuilt head very expensive.

The oil pump is in phase, a tooth off but in phase. I used the threaded bolt that comes in jays tool kit to keep the oil pump at near top dead center, I think the exhaust cam and oil sprocket are out, I'll tear it apart next weekend and reclock everything, I'm not too worried about it, since the car will just sit until I can fix it. I'll keep everyone posted and thanks for the help all.
