Trunk lid help

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if a trunk lid on a 02 lancer would fit on a 06 Evo with no issues? Thanks in advance

Yes but without the torsion bars from the wingless trunk when you pod the lid it will fly open.

I have an RS trunk lid on my GSR and it flies open all the time. Where can I get these said torsion bars to prevent that?

Could try a scrap yard, you can add some small sand bags or remove the bars and it won't have the springing effect.

Or you could just do like me and my VIS trunk (stretch my arms out wide, use my left fingers to pull the trunk switch, and then quickly side shuffle so that my right hand stops the lid from flying up). Ha people look at me like I'm on crack every time I open it

Yea unfortunately this VIS trunk doesn't have keyhole. I've no **** gone into my trunk by quickly pulling down the back seat a few times Lolol. I could fix but I'm pathetically lazy

That's exactly why I didn't want to go with VIS or any of the other companies that made trunks without keyholes. Sure, they're less expensive, but then they have this issue, plus they may not always fit as nicely.

Does anyone know where to get the RS trunk bars? Or how much they run? If they're cheap I can just get them... not that I might turning the key and just catching the trunk.

torsion bars for non wing trunklid are parts#

MR991365
MR991366

Double check in case they've changed recently. Should be about $35 each if you buy new. Much less if used or scrapyard.

Good luck!
