Maybe you can peel the rest of the clear coat off and re clear it?
You can sand all the clear coat off, just don't sand the fibers.
Lots of work, but repairable.

The wear is down into the fibers in some parts, this thing is the worst I have ever seen. I will get another picture with my phone.

So just leave those areas alone, just clean them with alcohol.

This is the section that concerns me most. it appears that the fiberglass resin is beginning to break down.

Thats going to be a lot of work. Can't tell from the pictures but if the resin itself is breaking up, its better to get another wing.

I have done some work with CF and if it is down to the epoxy resin and past the clear coat you will need to re apply more resin. Just sand it down nice and smooth, coat in in properly mixed epoxy, then re apply clear. It is salvageable but it won't be easy or cheap. The epoxy is like 50 bucks a gallon :/

My wing was like that if not worse. I had it repaired at a shop and it looks good but you can see the damage by the different shades of coloring in the carbon.

I might have a chance to take a better picture of the faded wing tomorrow morning, but right now, this is all I have.

I have saved worse... It will take time, and patience, but will be worth it.

If you don't want to attempt it, you can sell it to me for cheap, I'll repair it

You really don't need to fix the epoxy if it is bad. Just sand it smooth and clear over it. Carbon fiber is very horribly strong, it is not going to break, from some wind on a car. Whole aircraft are built out of carbon fiber honeycomb.

I like the 3M idea. Wrap that and spray it with clear. Nobody will be able to tell unless they get stick their face on the wing and study it
