Is this wing salvagable??
Is this the right stuff? As far as brands are concerned, which is better or is it all the same. Also does the type of sprayer matter? (top-feed, Bottom-feed) Im looking forward to getting this finished so I can post the result of hours of hand-sanding.

Just by your questions, i would say youre going down the wrong path
While everyone has a "first" project, you dont want to be using a $1000 wing to be learning gun settings, how to mix catalyst, reducers, and proper spray technique.
Buy yourself a $20 rattle can of spray max 2k clear and follow the directions.

Then after you have the pride of accomplishing something well, learn the frustration of "effing" up a paint job on a cheap $20 fender from the junk yard.
Now for your questions:
No. All clears are not all the same. There are cheap clears and there are good clears. Good clears are high solids, have uv inhibitors and are truly clear (not yellow). Brands to look for are dupont, PPG, SEM (and i will be playing with some ALSA soon). Custom painters have good and bad to say about House of Kolor.
I would stay away from purchasing paints from Ebay as you may get the cheap old paint that has been sitting on a shelf for years
As for guns. I use gravity fed HVLP guns. A cheap gun will spray as good as an expensive gun for the first job. An expensive gun will spray as good as its first day for a long long time. Just make sure to spend alot of time cleaning it after each use. Gun brands are like condom brands. Everyone has their favorites and are typically loyal

I think it is salvageable from the pics. There are a few tutorials on the forum on how to do this (if you need the steps).
For carbon wrapping it, even if you apply clear coats, you can still tell it's not the real thing haha.

It can deff be done, mine looked just as bad and now looks almost brand new. The only spots you can notice is where the carbon fiber was completely dried out and cracking. Now there are tiny spots where it "bleeds" and appears darker than the rest. But good thing that was on the bottom side.
