If he was backing up it's his fault no matter what.

His insurance company should send an inspector. You'll get a quote on how much to fix it. Check in hand. Spend it on what you want.

My buddy got his fender backed into. He just bought CF fenders with the money

You're fine stop worrying about it.. I have seen cars be demolished and put back to life when they really shouldn't have.

I'll tell you right now, that **** was like a 5-10 mph accident tops.

The damage looks so minimal it's almost comical how worried you are about it .. I'd be more worried about the color matching and the car looking all 1 color

There isn't a single thing on this car that can't be fixed and there isn't a car on earth that doesn't get involved in an accident and have a problem now and then.
If the wheel is bent it can be replaced, if your alignment is off it can be corrected, if something in your suspension is bent it can be fixed. It will drive straight again and you'll love it just the same.

i know you're a kid and you know very little about cars, but you don't have **** for damage dude.. you probably have a bent wheel at most - or possibly something suspension related. if this car was that easy to total, mitsubishi (or any car manufacturer for that matter) wouldn't allow it to go into production.

another hint: notice how everyone on here says (knows) that your car is fine? you're the only one who thinks its a serious issue... just have the car looked at, and make sure you tell them that you think there might be some suspension(or wheel) damage since the car pulls to the side.

im not a scientist but i know that if the truck backed into my 2000 dodge pickup it would not do anything.

Make sure you tell his insurance company or the inspector you want the axle checked out. Not just the paint. Get them to pay for an alignment too.

Ding ding ding...

100% correct.

This is probably one of the most minor accidents I have seen on Evo M

Your only concern here should be the paint blending... but that's not much of a problem either.

And your statement proved you're not a scientist... Those dodge pickups have a ladder frame made of butter Also because it's classified as a "truck" it doesn't have the same minor impact protection that the DOT requires of automobiles, so minor accidents bend major steel.

Is there any adjustable suspension parts on the rear wheels of the evo that could have been thrown off on the impact? The car should be going to the shop shortly

I work at a high end collision shop, actually, the only shop in SE Michigan certified to repair BMW, Mercedes, etc... Just finished up a $100,000 650i today in fact!

It's crazy seeing something that would take me a whole 30 minutes to fix causing you this much stress and frustration. I can guarantee there is no structural or even mechanical damage to that car. Take it to a shop and tell them to fix it. They will deal with your insurance.

When you get the car back I would suggest immediately parking it, taking pictures, and putting it up for sale. You obviously aren't ready for this type of car at this point in your life. Buy something cheap and reliable that you won't ever have to worry about again. In a couple years start looking at STI's or Evo's again when you have matured and gained some patience. I wouldn't waste my own time trying to tell you all this if I didn't honestly believe it would help you...so do YOURSELF a favor and give some thought to what you just read!

i respect your comment and you trying to help me, but this car is a learning experience for me and i take care of it the best i can. my goal is to make the car last, enjoy the car and learn how it works. Although i may be frustrated with it at times it doe not mean im going to abandon it. Im not some moron kid looking for some adrenaline rush on the freeway. I can't believe the people on this forum dont respect the learning youth but instead try driving them away. Perhaps you can explain the alignment issue since your a prestige auto body mechanic.
