Well, I have a 03 evo 8 with an open front diff and was considering putting a RS diff in, but will it be strong enough for 400+ whp? Will mostly be daily driving and going to the drag strip every so often. So launches will be happening. Thoughts? Thanks.

 

Unless yours is failing right now then I would not spend the money replacing it. There is not a need in swapping.

I had an rs front diff in my old 600hp car, held up just fine. Never used DR's or slicks, but it held up to many many launches. Have one in my current car as well.

Yeah, I'm serious. He didn't say he was autocrossing or driving a circuit track.

 

I had a 140k 2003 open diff that never went out after countless launches, trips the the drag strip, and plenty of daily driving.

Just don't dump your Clutch and it should hold up just fine.
