IC sprayer tank removal

Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the IC sprayer tank?

Do you really have to remove the front bumper? Is there any other way?

Please advise.

You only have to remove the bumper if you are going to remove the spray hose and nozzles. They are held on with small clips that you can't get to otherwise. You will have to remove the lower splash panel beneath the tank / pump assembly to get to the bolts that secure it, and bracket which is bolted to the frame. If I remember correctly, I think that I also removed the wheel well liner as well, but I don't believe that it was absolutely necessary. I think it just gives you more room to get in there. There's a harness connector which will be left over, and I was able to stuff it under the fuse box where it can't be seen.

If you aren't going to use the sprayer rocker switch any more, you can replace the entire coffee cup holder with one from an Evo 9. It has no switch cut out, and the front cup holder is the same size as the back one. The dealer will tell you that it won't fit an Evo 8, but that's because they have no listing for the crossover. Believe me, the Evo 9 cup holder will fit right in with no mods.

The 05 evo VIII cup holder also doesn't have the switch place holder so you could swap with that if you can find one .

I just removed mine it's only like 3 bolts. I removed my battery, bumper and my under-tray. Then just disconnect the tubes. But I also installed an ets fmic.

You can reach the two bolts from underneath but it's a lot easier with out the bumper
1 bolt is under the stock battery tray the other two are on the driverside in front of the wheel
