I doubt they have AutoZone in NewZealand.

So after further tests it seems as if it's something to do with the fuel settling in the pipes nothing to do with the battery. This morning I had the same problem starting, but I stopped trying to start, pumped the gas pedal twice then it started first try.

Any ideas on what's the best way to diagnos the problem? I don't think it's the fuel pump cause she's driving pefectly when she's going, just needing the fuel to be run through the lines to start her up

 

Cycle your key to accessories for a couple seconds and then back to the off position. Do this a couple times to pressurize the system and then see if she cranks over.

 

i had a similar issue a while back too. after installing engine mounts and playing with clutch it works fine now. (clutch pedal must be down to start car with JDM as im from AUS). my engine doesnt move at all either with the mounts in now.
