It's softer, fatter, heavier, slower, and arguably uglier than the car it replaced. It also has too many electronics and bells and whistles for me. It is not a bad car by any stretch of the imagination, but for those who fell in love with the raw, noisy, dirty engined Evo VIII-IXs the X does not cut it.

I know the Evo IX has a hilariously terrible interior, the turning radius of a 747, and a suspension that could beat in your spine, but it is razor sharp to drive, and just a raw drivers experience. No AYC, twin-clutch MR, or blue tooth enabled ipod stereo.

For those of us that don't care about any of that and want the most bare bones thrill-a-minute car... the older Evo takes the cake. I think the Evo IX MR and SE were the best versions of the car they ever made, and I love owning one even if I keep breaking things at the track, and its too loud/stiff/powerful to drive every day on the street.

TL;DR: You are in the Evo VIII-IX forums, of course we think ours is the best.
