I think there is a lesson to be learned in all of this by the members and evo owners
If you keep your car riaght at 350 whp or less - it gives you useability and relaibaility just like a stock evo
Once you start to approach 400 whp plus - the evo looses dependability and reliability to the extent that event "expert tuners" have a hard time getting an evo to the show on a date certain
Personally, I will be keeping my car in present tune for a few more weeks to brek into the 10's - - - then i will be going back more towards stock and a basic reflash to provide stock like opertaion and reliability - something about 360 whp on pump gas for dialy use

Al, Thanks for starting the thread and your input. I guess we will all have to wait for the magazine to hit the stands for the full story.
I sure hope that at least a few off the tuners put down some crazy numbers and times. I don't want to see another article like the C&D article where most of the cars (I know, not all. I think the Visnu and RMR cars were relatively inexpensive except for the high dollars wheels) had big dollars spent for not much performance increase. Then when it was all over, a stock Z06 blew them all away.

It sucks they are so dranonian that no one is willing to talk - I acually know the whole story but had to promise to keep my mouth shut
They are like a bunch of high school gosip queens
All I can say is that the results are not that impressive to me as they are all what I was doing like 6 months ago
Of course they wouldn't dare let me go to one of these events
I am in the process or organizing an OPEN evo tuner shottout with another major magazine - no games - who ever shows up can participate - no politics - just time slips and dyno sheets
I believe that evo owners would be interested to see what ALL the "tuners" are doing - not just the same ones agains and again

Also I know that a clutch is alittle more time involved than a head but why couldn't the bushur car get a new clutch installed and back up and running???
I really wanted to see what the top tuners on this site were compared to each other...That is a bummer...
