Just wanting to know if anyone has the "inside" scoop on what is happening at the SCC Evo Tuner Shootout that I was not invited to

Its going down today with dyno contest and drag racing

All I heard is that Evos are blowing up like ballons so far - that's all I know

Maybe they broke my record - maybe they just broke engine - any news would be appreciated

It may be time to modify my title to the left

Honestly, I could care less. SCC is nothing more than a big ricer advertisement for wings and body kits and is very light on useful content.

 

I am interested too. Where did you hear that EVO's were blowing up. I am going to call RRE to find out any news.

 

Pruven - blown rod

Vishnu = blown head

RRE - blown something

Etc.

 

I am very interested also.. All I know is that they are at California Speedway today

You are SOOO WRONG. I'ts the only import mag with GOOD DRIVERS doing the writing. Very rare

 

Well considering they don't usually come close to blowing up engines ... if the other rumors are true I'd say that WORKS is probably doing fairly well

Especially since they got their Turbo setup up and running in time for SCC

It's here, when we're looking at bigger power numbers, that WORKS tuning methology starts to look pretty damn good (ie. not pushing every last drop of power out of the parts, which manages to bring them outside of operating spec ... etc.)

Maybe you missed the monthly hybrid how-to articles, the huge wheel comparison (including weights), the benchtop BOV comparison, the "suck squish, bang and blow" tech article series and Dave Coleman's monthly geek-out sessions. I find it quite interesting, but I'm still on the steep part of the learning curve here.

 

So is this the list of tuners at the event? Someone go to California speed way and give us some updates!

Where are you getting this info from?...what does blown head mean? I ASSume you mean head gasket....I think I smell cows .....no, no, it's bull****....
