Why didn't they just put a new clutch in the car.....One guy on here did it in 3 hours so some one that doesn't do it very often could do it in 4-6 I would guess...Other's rebuilt stuff why not the bushur sponsored car????

That's my question. 2 cars have apparently replaced their engines during the competition (tell me that's not going to skew the results) and the Buschur car is out because it wasn't ready in time for the first test. What ever happened to "run what 'cha brung"? The Pruven and Buschur cars are at a distinct dis-advantage since they are east coast based and don't have a shop to run to when things go wrong. Where are the Toda and Sparco cars based?

(Dave you don't know hoe sorry I am ;-(. ) The RRE car Blew but got a time I heard so they're putting in a new motor and will be ready in the AM...least that's what I heard... BTW if you live in SOCAL you should visit them and see how a real race shop runs...They completely setup and reworked the JIC coil-overs and settings for my car UNBEF'NLievable differance My JIC's now CONTROL the mass of the car...I thought the BuschurFlash was the best money spent(and for making power it was)...Now when the car comes off a corner it just sqats and jumps in the new direction...John you are a MAGICIAN...and guys this took over 12 hours to get every thing right...cost $1200.00 (much cheaper if I had purchased the JIC's from them)...live and learn... AND WORTH TWICE what they charged me...PM me for a ride.....I promise to scare you into next week.... all while in close to perfect control . See you @ Willow.

This whole shoot out is BULL****! How can you not include Buschur and Pruven in ANY EVO shootout. Once again SCC shows that it's ties with Vishnu run deep. This shoot out is nothing more then a joke with hand selected participants.

As far as SCC's BS story about not wanting cars that have been in other mags, I'm quite sure if they were offered an EVO VIII a year and a hlaf ago to test that had been in other publications they wouldnt have turned it down would they. BS SHIV's boys at SCC have done everything in there power to make sure he looks good. Hope it works out for them!

Just thinking out louyd here.....What is someone was to go to a public computer (at a library or university), create a new hotmail acct, a new evo m account, and spill a little info. Might be pretty damn had to find out who violated said non disclosure agreement. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

I think its a little premature to get mad about the whole shoot, why dont you guys wait till the article comes out before getting worked up. You never know, maybe Shiv didnt get favorable reviews or vice versa, but speculating now will do you no good as you will only get mad.

There's no need for the ranting. If you feel a certain way, that's fine, but slinging insults on here does nothing for your cause. Why not write SCC (it's pretty obvious that you're upset with them) and complain about the lack of tuner opportunity.

Here's their contact info:
http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/contactus/

and here's their forums:
http://forums.sportcompactcarweb.pri...m/sccmag/start

I'm not against your views. I just don't want this thread to turn into a bash fest or flame fest. We've had enough of those and that last thing we need is one because of a test that SCC setup and not us!

Buschur and Pruven were both invited. So was RRE, Toda, and lots of others. As for the Shiv <--> SCC ties, sure maybe there's something to that, maybe not. Regardless, the responses they've given for them considering Al's car are reasonable and if Al didn't follow up, whose fault is that?

The Buschur car was invited, but had some last minute problems and couldn't make it. You already saw the post from the owner...

The Pruven car was invited and broke at the last minute too, and couldn't make it.

All that SCC can do is invite people, it is up to the shop to respond and enter a car.

Some people here make it seem as though SCC mag has nothing else to do but worry about this one EVO article. These events are a serious pain in the *** to put together, and ultimately the article needs to be published.

I'm sure nobody gives a flying **** about the EVO shootout besides the EVO people, and they are a very small percentage of the overall readership. EVO owners should be happy that SCC mag is doing an article dedicated to EVOs at all! Fortunately SCC mag is the least honduh ricer oriented import car magazine out there.

I think the only people here that are complaining are Stupid Street and Honduh Tuner subscribers anyway...

Damn... car's need to stop crashing and blowing up.

What should've been an awesome article, seems to be turning into a 2-3 car comparison.

And a stock Z06 pulled better times then them all? Damn, who was the driver?

And it's Honda, not Honduh.
