If you bought a like new evo with low miles and built it to the point he did or to even the point i have. Youll pay out quite a bit more then his asking price. I dont think his car is worth 75... But maybe 50. This is why people part out or return to stock prior to selling.
You can't recoupe money from labor period not if and or buts about it.... that car is still not even close to $50k... mid 30's would be reasonable.

You can tell the guy is nutz because did you check out his brake disks? seriously?!!!!!! you can fit a golf ball through those holes

Modifications actually decrease value of the car to the general public. Take your highly modified low mileage Evo to a dealership and watch them insult you with how much they say its worth.

Doesn't matter how much you spent on it. Getting more then book value for your car is wishful thinking esp. with more and more Evo's getting cheaper and cheaper. You potential buyer for a somewhat niche car like this gets smaller and smaller.

Buyers that have the kind of cash to buy will no doubt be looking at more "virgin" Evo's to purchase for less and the fast and the furious crowd doesn't understand what it takes to build cars like these properly and will low ball you because they are applying their (insert cheap econobox car they modified on a shoe string budget).

your mileage may vary.

This dude obviously smokes rocks.

When he can put that much money into the Evo, why couldn't he put a JDM bumper on the car to make it look better?

Just an odd observation:

Brand new Evo's in 2006 while I was stationed on Guam were going for 47-52K. But that's because they had to be shipped from JP to Cali, then CA to Guam so the import fee's, markups were crazy. I also saw a Nissan Frontier going for the same amount. It gets worse the on even smaller islands.
