Valve cover repaint and work

I am just wondering IYO and experiences, where anyone would suggest I have my valve cover stripped and repainted/powdered and have a couple -AN hose nipples attached?

Justin at Detective Coating is definitely the place to go. He's an awesome guy. Here's my IX cover that he did.

they have gone down hill with customer service... I wouldn't ever ship anything to TCC after the nightmares I have heard - not only on EvoM but other forums as well.

Detective will be getting my business. Check the thread they have on here for some pics that will make you go from 6 to midnight if you know what I mean...

Thanks for the responses. I do like the look of Detective Coatings and the work they do but what are some of the things that I should ask or look for before I send off something like this? I have read a bit about watching for media blasting on these covers and possible media being left in the cover to get into the motor, which obviously I don't want. Anything else?

this is what he sent me when I asked him about a valve cover

"Valve covers are sandblasted as that is the only way to etch the metal for proper powder adhesion. The baffles are masked and all other holes are plugged when doing so."

He has been doing powdercoating for 5 years and done thousands of valve covers, I would assume if he didn't do them right that he wouldn't still be in business. I would trust him with mine, for what that's worth
