Anybody else have the AEM digital pressure gauge?

I have a few of the AEM Gauges connected to my car and they all work great. Except for the 0-100 pressure gauge I use to monitor my oil pressure. I'm not sure if the gauge is reading incorrectly, but when I had it hooked up, it would read over 100 whenever I would press the gas pedal. Is it normal for an Evo IX to read over 100 PSI? Should I opt for the 0-150 gauge?
Also, I currently have it unhooked because the sensor I had plugged in failed and spewed oil all over the road. Luckily I was 3 blocks from the dealership and I had them remove the sensor and plug the hole back up. I emailed AEM about it and they sent me a new sensor, but it hasn't been reinstalled yet. Mainly out of fear that it'll fail again. For anyone else running this gauge, has this sensor failed for you guys too? Or did I just happen to get a faulty one?

Thanks everyone!

pretty new oil and cold start its normal to see 90-100 psi. at 1500rpm. after it warms up then it will slowly go down to about 20psi. then once warm over 3k will see 80-90..
thats pretty much how it works.

the sensors crap out left and right and will leak from the housing right off the bat, dont think has redesigned the sensor or just hands out replacements..

Lame... I may try the 0-150 gauge.
Too bad AEM doesn't do something about the leaking problem.

I am running the analog version of the 0-100psi oil pressure gauge, with the brass sensor. I have not had any issues with it. My brother is also running a 0-100psi gauge in his STI, however he upgraded the sensors to the Stainless Steel one, just because he likes the way the SS sensors look. His gauge is working perfectly, and the sensors are not leaking, and none have failed.

As for the oil pressure, do you have your balance shafts? Have you done anything else to your car that might increase the pressure? Dont quote me on this, but you should see 10psi for every 1000rpm, so at 8000rpm you should have ~80psi. On cold starts just like stated above oil pressure is high and then settles down once the car has warmed up.

Hope that helps.

Yeah I'm still running the balance shafts... Don't have much done at this point other than TBE, intake, WGA (finally will be getting stuff done this Fall though!! Barring any setbacks...)
I'll have to look into the Stainless sensor as well as the sensor relocation line.

Thanks for the help everyone

Get the AMS oil line, it's basically a nylon line that relocates the sensor up to the firewall away from the road and vibrations from the engine. Absolutely no problems at all. Install was a breeze.
