Doing the clutch. Ball joints. Damn you!
One thing I like to do on getting those ball joints out if you have an extra set of hands is to wedge a pry bar in there somehow (depends on its its a tie rod or lower ball joint in your case) and put some pressure on it the use the BFH. Ive found that to work for me.

If I were to absolutely NEED to get them off, I think I'd go with a torch, and get a plate over the boot itself. For me... it was just much much simpler to pop the strut, and the upper joint.

I ended up pausing last night before pulling the top ACD line. So didn't get too far (the buddy I have helping me is a doctor, so he's always gotta run).
Gonna go look up this ACD stuff now.
I'm surprised you had to pull the ACD line. I ended up just sliding my diff over and dropped the trans out. I think you have to take it to a dealer to have them bleed the ACD don't you?

1. I certainly don't have to pull the ACD line. I could just back the bolt behind it out as I move the transmission... but that seems more complex frankly, and I haven't changed the fluid in the ACD at all so I'm guessing it's never been done.
2. You can bleed the ACD by turning the key to on without starting the car and depressing the gas pedal fully. This cycles the pump for a few seconds, and you can just crack the bleeder. I also have a vacuum bleeder to use.
BUT...
I know this isn't the "proper" way of doing it, as that requires some space age technology from Mitsubishi (read: them lying to you about having the equipment, and then doing it the way I just described, and telling you they did it the right way).
What I want to know is... how different this magical system Mitsu has ACTUALLY is than simply bleeding it?
As far as I can tell, all it does is get the pump to run when they want it to, and that doesn't seem different than simply applying your foot to the gas?
Joe... tried that. No dice. I'm sure they'd pop, but they've got to have some scale on them.

SERIOUSLY! If service manuals were HALF as detailed as an approach plate... I'd be "flying" through this project.
