Wrong. A hydraulic master and slave system has a simple ratio (area of master piston/area of slave piston) that governs the response of this system. It is just a hydraulic version of a lever and fulcrum. The advantage is easier packaging and potentially less friction. So if the clutch needs 50% more force to operate you will need to exert 50% more force also, hydraulic system or not.

From what I've seen they're way nicer than the WRX's interior. In a sub 35k sports car I think it's pretty rare to see a truly nice interior short of leather (which I personally hate).

EDIT: Oh yeah...congrats on the cars, guys. Did you get the option between 1 and 2 DIN slots? Just curious what's standard on the RSII's.
All the evos come with the single din slot console. In japan they have a dealer installed option for dual din. It moves the A/C controls low on the console and has two din slots above. I am trying to find the japanese web site that had installation instructions. I will keep searching. I need a some one that can read japanese to look at it. I can not tell if it will work with the manual A/C contols in a RS-II.

I too would like a dual din slot console.

You are so correct! I was not even thinking! It is a manual hydraulic system, not a power! Doh! Sorry. I am so upset! I have been wrestling with my stupid WRX transmission for a week now. I FINALLY GOT THE NEW ONE IN THERE! I am thinking straight again!

Maybe, maybe not. I would bet that it is going to be around 30 g's if you get the real lancer. If you get the watered down package, it will probably be alot less. The rumor that is flying around the web is that the Lancer comming to the states is a watered down evo without even Brembos, or AYC. It would be a shame.

well personally, in my opinion, i wouldnt mind a watered down EVO, cuz i love tweaking with cars. so gives me a chance do do some custom mods even if the car is new. i hear the watered down version is gonna be 265hp. thats pretty good. but to boost power from 265hp is pretty easy, so all in all watered down or not doesnt matter.

WRC4Ever!

Any words on the progress on the EVO7 conversion? Any problem or issues? and when you should expect to get your car?

Also how much does it cost to ship it to your state?

Thanks!

OK, i see you got this from EvolutionImports.com.

I'm throughly interested in acquiring an EVO7 but i want the modified 400+hp version. But i was wondering does anyone have times for these MOdified EVO7s? 0-60? 0-100? 1/4 mile?

Thanks.

I just got off of the phone with the guy from Evolution Imports. He states that the cars are 2-3 weeks from being legal. If they acually succeed, I am going to have to hiest a bank so I can plop down 37 grand! I am very excited for the new proprietors!
