Struggeling with a dying engine issue, need some guidance.
Some background to start, right?
03 with 70k miles.
Mods include: full tbe, bc272's, 4bar map, syncronic bov, stock fmic, hard pipes upper and lower, full size battery relocated to trunk. Recently installed walboro 255 and converted to E85 for tunning and troubleshooting. Main power wiring redone as troubleshooting.
The issue, described as best as possible. Cold start is difficult, if ac is on it will die (I assume this is mostly tuning). Once warmed up car will idle fairly smooth and drive. During driving (part throttle, full throttle, even no throttle) and even sometimes at idle the engine will die out. During driving it feels like a lose of power, if you push in the clutch the engine shuts off (total power lose). You can feather the gas and sometimes the engine will come back alive like nothing happened. Typically after this happens its difficult to start the car. It turns over but wont idle. If you keep trying it will most likely startup or you can try letting the car sit and start after 10-20 minutes. This issue has gotten progressively worse over time, only happening once a week and now daily. Ive used evoscan to log the event but it just shows ipw, rpm, load all falling to zero.
Ive taken it to a shop and they cant seem to figure it out after multiple attempts. I originally started troubleshooting by having the pump replaced because it felt a lot like lack of gas and cutting out. Then I had the started replaced because of all the extra starting taxed it. Then I took it to another shop that said it was probably just tuning but the same problem continued. I had them tune for the fuel pump and they converted to e85 at the same time. Now the same shop redid some electrical work but the same problems continue.
The car made 350/hp and 360/tq
I know the car needs maintenance like the timing belt, clutch, and new fluids but I really need the car to be reliable and I cant pinpoint whats going on with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TBH... this sounds like it could be a collection of multiple issues.
1. Which shops have you taken it to for tuning, and how much experience do they have tuning Evos?
2. Are these issues pre, or post E85? Or both?
Things I would check first.
1. Boost leak test. With soapy water.
This doesn't sound like a boost leak, but as I said, it almost seems like there are a couple of issues at play, so lets just get it out of the way.
2. Fuel pressure check. Have you done this? Do you have the ability (tools) to do this?
3. What size injectors are you using?
4. Are you running the stock intake snorkel?
5. Are you familiar with how to check for vacuum leaks using propane?
5a. Are you running a boost gauge, and what sort of vac numbers are you seeing at idle?
Get us some of that info, and we'll get a bite on it.

2) the issues are pre e85, exactly the same after conversion. This was done after fuel pump replacement and installing a new starter which it needed.
1) I haven't done a boost leak test in quite a while but at the same time I haven't changed any of the plumbing on the car. This is something I could work on doing myself.
2) I should do this and have wanted to but not sure of the proper procedure. I have the service manual so I will give it a look.
3) stock injectors, I know these need to be upgraded to take full advantage of e85
4) Intake is a 45 degree bend 3" with hks mushroom filter
5) That would be a no, but I could google it
5a) Vacuum is 18 at idle, fluctuates a bit if the ac kicks on. Can dip below 20s when letting off the gas.
I wanted to say thanks for everyone's time reading this, Ive just been at a loss for what to do. So thanks

I have searched here on evom and this came up but I couldn't find a way to test it prior to replacement.
