**help please car dies randomly**

Ok so I have an issue started just recently in my 03 Evo 8. Ok car cranks and starts fine. But after I drive it maybe 5-10 minutes and still at cruising speed it cuts out like I left off the throttle in gear. When I press the throttle it continues to still slow down like I'm not pressing the gas. Then when I throw it in neutral it dies. Takes a few cranks to get it to start back up when it does it idles rough then dies within a couple seconds. When you blip the throttle when it's idling rough it acts sluggish then dies faster. If you wait a little bit it starts up fine sometimes will do it again shortly down the road or will get me to a decent spot to park it. Any advise as to what it could be?

Mods when I got it back in march:
Busher stage 3 or 4 head
Hks 272 cams
Fic 1150cc injectors
Hard piping tial bov
Stage 2 shep trans
Exhaust
Walbro 255 hp fp

Mods I did a week after was omni power 4bar map and speed density tune. All this started happening a couple weeks ago.

If it's not a book leak that gets larger as the engine bay heating up then it's crank-walk.

Can't be crank walk because it idles fine when getting ready to drive and it doesn't sound odd. Just when you drive it a few minutes then it dies and idles rough. Sometimes you can drive 30 min before it dies

If you don't already own an inexpensive OBDII code scanner, now would be a very good time to buy one.

Crankwalk could idle fine until there is pressure from the clutch.

Already have a blue point obd2 code scanner. No cel. And no crank walk that's for sure. Had that in my old talon. This is happening without applying the clutch

This sounds like my friend's car.

He can cruise down the freeway and the car will randomly cut power. He lets off the gas then gets back on it and is fine until.....?

Sounds pretty similar. It's been going on for two years. None of us can figure it out.

It's been data logged and still nothing.

This same situation is happening to me. The car will start up no problem and I can drive it for a while and then it will slowly die even quicker when I give it throttle. It happens after driving out of a drive thru or it can happen while I am driving down the road at 60mph. Only codes are injector codes which is a different issue being resolved with new pigtail connectors. It seems to only happen on really hot muggy days. I've killed it a few times accidentally leaving a light or whatever and it will start up for a few seconds then die and wont start until at least an hour or two later. Then sometimes it does very well pulls hard and good AFR's and good oil pressure. anyone have any ideas???? MAP sensor or MAF??

Check your grounds, especially the motor to chassis / ECU to chassis / battery to chassis grounds. What makes you say the issues are unrelated? Injector issues could be related to your problems.

I'd go with crank walk too. before i had my engine rebuilt i had to add hammered down washers under my new crank sensor just get it to start consistently

I just am having issues with one of the connectors on 1 injector that's why I was saying that. It may Be related I didn't mean to say it like that. But I doubt (hope to God its not) crankwalk my build has 7k miles on it.
