Opinions on door handles

Long story short, doors handling paint is chipping. I'm gonna assume the paint used on the door handles is very thin because it flakes off super easy and all I see is white. Wondering if I tape off everything really well and take aircraft stripper to it, wil it accomplish the Job of leaving the entire door handle completely white or will it kinda melt the white plastic? Ideally I would like to do this to all the handles and achieve a bare, white plastic look...see if I like it, and if I don't i will order Oem spray paint from automotivetouchup.com

I wouldnt recommend it, its very likely to melt your plastic handle since its meant for aluminium. If you did do it youd have to watch it closely the entire time and rinse it off as soon as you see the paint start to wrinkle up/off..I'd rather chip or sand the paint off IMO

I would avoid that stuff as well. I would go with the touch-up route.

ive used the aircraft paint stripper before, its near impossible to know exactly what its going to do. it ate everything and then some when i used it. then on other spots it didnt do anything. u still have to do a bit a scrubbing as well.

do paint touchup.

You will destroy the handle if you do that. It's plastic, so you might want to touch it up or have it resprayed if you're that OCD about it.

That would be the best way if you're gonna respray it, so the paint sticks to the handle itself and not the paint that was already on there.

Just dont spray it with a 1K (AKA rattle can) paint, or it will come off again in no time.

A quick google search shows that it works pretty well, but YMMV.

I would do some research first before you begin, but I think that would go without saying.

Good luck.
