turn off anti/lock light after switching to nonabs??
Hey Guys, recently I made a conversion to non-abs and was wondering how do I get rid of the anti/lock light on the dash? Is there solenoid or something else that needs to be removed to get rid of it? I could just take out the bulb but before doing that, want to know if there is a different method.
I've never tried that method, but I could see how it would work.
It sounds like you were reading the connector wrong. The numbers are from the wire side, not the pin side. If you were to look at it backwards, what you thought was 27 would have been pin 5, which is green.
The good news is pin 5 is just a communication wire from the ecu to the OBD connector, so at least you didn't blow anything up by randomly poking at pins.
I would have just taken the bulb out. That or if the posted method worked I would find somewhere inside the car to make that short.

Just take the bulb out. It works everytime! Or do what i just got doing going through the whole harness and getting rid of every wire from the ABS all the way to the gauge cluster
