When has Motor Trend been right about any of this stuff? It's basically a propaganda machine for the auto industry... remember that the 1991 MT car of the year was the Chevy Caprice. I wouldn't be caught dead reading that magazine in public...

 

Have any of you even seen the evo5 trunk? it looks exactly the same as it to me. PLUS THE FRONT END DRAWING LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE REAL PICTURE. Goto page 3 scroll down look at the REAL picture with the foglamps, that is 1 sexy *** front end.

 

That's just CG. Japanese car magazines make this stuff all the time.

 

I guess I am the only one that likes the "drawing".

 

no hanzo, i personally like the rear end, kinda reminds me of the evo5 rear end, and I LOVE the PICTURE of the front end with the fog lamps omg so sexy

evo9 is a 2006 model ... ;x don't expect to see it till 2006

lame. I seriously doubt the new evo will look anything like that.

if anything, we should be looking at the new wrc car for hints of what is to come. they're not going to take the two in completely different directions.
I saw some photochops in a couple japanese mags yesterday that basically turned the new wrc car into a street car, it looked pretty badass. moved the wing more to the rear of the trunk and tamed everything down a notch, very nice clean pics. those pics from motor trend look more like someone just got ahold of concept pics for the VIII to me.

 

yes that is usually the case, but as i said car and driver wrote in the current issue that it will be coming this jan. as we all know mitsu is full of suprises, ie 10yr warranty and actually bringing the evo to the states. who knows, maybe they'll sell it as an '06 model during 2005.

 

I really hope the evo won't get those foglamps, I always never liked them. And like mentioned befor,e I'm glad I'm getting an 8 .

 

Now if that was only going to be available as a wagon
