HID going out?

Driver's side HID turned pinkish/red the other day. Is this a sign of the bulb finally going out? I've never seen one go out before, so I dunno. If so, what size is the replacement, and where is a good place to buy them? Thanks in advance.

Yup. It's going out. Mine did the same thing last year. I bought two new ones from advanced auto for $150 each. A lot cheaper than from the dealer

$150 per bulb? Man, you can get those bulbs for $15. I just found Phillips bulbs for $30 each, and other sets for $30-40 for both bulbs. I think I got a set for my ex's TSX for $20 for the set. You got ripped off big time. Advanced Auto wanted $90 for a gates accessory belt. I just got one online for $40 shipped.

Ended up going with a set from retrofit source. 5000k for $45 shipped. They had great prices on the phillips and osram bulbs, but I didn't feel like spending $100 for two light bulbs. If you order from retrofit source enter trs/hidp coupon code for free shipping.

You can find them cheap on ebay, but idk what you will actually get, maybe a used bulb. All those ebay listings for $20 DS2 bulbs seem to good to be true.

I know what you mean, I stayed away from ebay. But DDM, XENONDEPOT, iJDMTOY, and a host of other sites and manufactures make and sell quality HID bulbs ranging anywhere from $10-100 per bulb. I don't know if I'd go with the cheapest bulbs, but the $100 bulbs are not $90 better than the $10 bulbs. Also, you can find Phillips and Osram stock replacement high quality bulbs online for $85-100 for the pair, so paying $150 for each bulb is a huge rip off. I bought some from DDM for my ex's TSX and those worked great, and looked as good as factory for cheap.

I buy all of my HIDs on eBay. Probably have to replace them more often but it was like $30 at most for both bulbs. I just gave them all the numbers off mine & they sent me some that looked exactly the same and have worked perfectly.

I got a set of 5000k from Retrofit and that was a mistake. The light output is horrendous. You get what you pay for.
