Evo vs. STI | Anything and Everything [ALL THREADS MERGED]
Four major things I don't like about the STI: no front mount, I know Subaru goes a different way w/ their intercooler positioning but still I love that huge intercooler sittin in the EVO!
That hood scoop may be functional, but it doesn't mean that it looks good!
The rear bumper, the exhaust and other underbody parts hang out, whereas the EVO's bumper covers all that up nicely and looks a lot lower, that is the thing that bugs me the most about the STI
The wing, the EVO's wing looks like it is a part of the car, whereas the STI's wing looks like it was laid down on the car since it seems there is a bottom part to it making it one big rectangle that was bolted on to the trunk
That may be picky, but I was thinking I would like the STI's styling better about 6 months ago, now I really am not a fan of it's styling and REALLY like the EVO's approach, way to go

I disagree totally with the people who refer to the Evo and Sti as "ugly". I personally think both cars are awesome looking. For me on decision of which to get I actually put some weight into the looks because of how evenly matched they are from a performance standpoint. I like the looks of the Sti a little better. I think it is more agressive looking and I like the interior better. Of course ultimately it came down to the lowend tourque and straight line accelaration advantage of the Sti for me for choosing the Sti. You can't go wrong with either one its just a matter of your personal driving characteristics and the little advantages one has over the other that are important to you.

Very nice car!
Instead of EVO and STI owners fighting it out between each other, we should join forces and rule all.
Think of it as a Shock & Awe campaign, b/c they will never expect us to be allies!

Wheel color is an option, either silver or gold. But, once I saw the white/gold I was not going to the white/silver. Must see it in person, pictures do not do justice.
Any Colorado Evo drivers out there? Lots of good twisty roads around here, we should go for a drive.

You got it backwards. They both perform the same, but are different in style.
evo is wicked at night specially in black sti looks alright ni black
i seen 0one, actually funny story, we saw it in my hood, and pulled our black evo up, and was talkin to da guy, he want to race but only has 200 miles on it, so we save it for nextime, but he went in and we left but up here dere aint many fences so i went back over with a ballon and put it on da tail pipe, and when he started it up(mean growl), the ballon filled and POP it scared the crap outa him, he was out the car so fast lookin at his tail pipe and i was in a bush laughin!!
u right though scoop is to big, (good idea to hide peeps mail from em hehe
, it actually almost reminds me of the previous gen. civic a bit, does look bull doggish though

Hmm I remember about a year ago when almost 90% of this board shat on the EVO's looks.... I too didn't like it at all but once I saw it in person... I was shocked. Pictures can be deceiving..
A friend and I went to the local Suby dealer to check out the Sti they had on the lot. There was this blue one, and a black one in the showroom (with silver wheels).
I must say I was very unimpressed with the looks of the car in person
; I had expected much more from seeing pictures and reading posts. The interior is nowhere near what I expected (better than Evo's? seems cheap to me as well), and the parts of the car don't seem to flow very well; ie, the exhaust parts and suspension highly visible under the car, jagged lines in the body extensions, etc.
The black w/ silver defintely looked better, but couldn't get a close look. Of course we'll see what happens when I goto the track against one, but on looks alone I was not impressed.
