KBB says $13.6K for 130Kmiles (Good condition)... It goes up to almost $20K for only 80Kmiles. The mileage makes a huge difference!

if I was going to be spending $18k on an Evo, it would have to have under 100k. If you know how to negotiate, that car could be yours for under $15k (depending on the owner). Also for $18k, you are starting to get into X territory (depending on how comfortable you are with negotiations).

Which brings up the pricing. Why the hell do people say "I'm asking 18500 but the lowest I will take is 16000" ? You might as well say "well the price you are not going to pay me is 18500 and the price I have already settled for and need to be talked below is 16000".
Who the hell is going to hear that and say OK HERE IS 18500 THEN ?
Seriously, when people say crap like that I purposefully don't buy from them on general principle.

i paid 19k for my IX mr with 85k miles. i'd tell him 16k or i'm walking, cuz i is patient yo lol. but definitely get boost leak test and compression test done like IzzyRS said. have you test driven it at all? if you have and it still has the stock 6 speed. shift in all the gears above 3k rpm and listen for any grinding.

Around here $16k is about right. For $18500 I'd expect a good 20-30k less miles on it though. Which brings up the pricing.
