Found the CL ad myself before I read his post but I'm thankful all around, both with the cops and fellow evo owners.

Curious did I miss something. Since when did MR BBSs go for 1400 let alone 2500? I must be out of the loop.
Yea when i saw the price on the craigslist ad, and the kid marketing the wheels to other cars with w/ 5 bolt pattern, I was pretty sure they belonged to OP. I paid $900 for se bbs w/ like new tires from the original owner 2 years ago.

to the OP. I think you handled the situation better than 90 % of us. You have proven that doing things the legit way CAN pay off.

I had a similar situation a couple years back when I had my Integra gsr. Apparently the gsr wheels are highly sought after. They left my car in exactly the same position, leaning on the brake discs. Good to hear the system finally worked out for someone.

They sell for about 800 a piece, brand new.

Yeah I know they are a ridiculous price from the dealer but on the used market I dont remember them being as much or more then Enkei's. Just seems like I missed that.

absolutely man, definitely story of the year lol. I was just pointing out what I've seen over the past couple years. And yes out of the factory they're ridiculously expensive

That actually makes me mad and it's not even my car! How could someone possibly do that to an Evo?! Not to mention, leaving the body on a brick.
Come on, there are other ways to make money. I guess I should stop being cheap and make a sacrifice for a wheel lock kit. I didn't think this was such a common thing these days.
Either way, getting the wheels back was a major benefit.

I have to ask. Where can you find decent wheel locks for an evo? I have the SE bbs wheels on mine. I'm just unsure where to look for this.
