Awesome story. Glad it worked favorably. Restores my faith a little bit in the justice system.
Curious did I miss something. Since when did MR BBSs go for 1400 let alone 2500? I must be out of the loop.

damn dude, im sorry to hear that. I was mad as F*** when my car got broken into. They bent the whole door frame to get into my car and all they took was the damn boost gauge and stereo...$1500 in damages for less than $100 for what that stuff wouldve been worth on the street.
Your correct.. however, could slow them down enough for someone to notice. Could be just the deterant for them to move on to easier picken's--like someone without locks. Think about the number of times what you thought would be quick work on a car that turns in to an afternoon consuming black hole!. My point is why make it easy-- make it as hard you can and every little bit helps.
Morale of the story...get the wheel locks. It won't stop the best thieves, but it will keep the part timers occupied/thwarted.
OT, sorry it happened to you OP, glad they got caught
. They never figured out who stole mine even though the police figured they had been taken to the "street scene" in Kent that weekend.
Fixed, thanks for the heads up.

This. When this happened to me the folks were complete noobs. Didn't have blocks, jack slipped and set off the alarm so they only got away with 2 wheels....the locks would have stopped them or made them look for an easier target for sure.

Oh really? I'm surprised cause the ones I found online (to see how much insurance might cut me a check for), were about $850 per rim. Regardless, just happy he accepted lol
