I actually prefer the VIII because they usually cost 3-4K less than a IX
That be funny, and creepy if we all just document this car and post pictures of it on the internet for no real reason. And then maybe one day the owner of the car would find like random pics of his car just floating in Google Images.
my only issue is that the VIII has an open front diff. that i don't like because i use my car for motorsports events. but if you aren't trying to race the car? who really cares?
i think the VIII is more of a bargain than a IX. MIVEC is great and really helps low end and midrange torque, but it's not necessary. ACD is cool under very specific situations... but most of us are never in them LOL. the IX turbo is a simple swap away. if you don't like the VIII's blue seats, they can be swapped. don't like the front bumper? swap.

The car is now 10 years old. Parts production are now going to be phased out. Theres not much aftermarket interest in VIII or IX. These kind of things are inevitable, the cars will eventually depreciate and bottom out. The few diehards will keep holding on to their pristine examples, and maybe one day it might become a collector like the e30 bimmers. But theres no guarantee there.
^not much aftermarket interest in the 8/9? do you live on mars? it's like aftermarket golden age since I got my first evo with the exception of ams and buschur slowing down but still make alot.
I noticed the same thing, but I also noticed it's just on the forums. I guess they price them lower here because the buyers are either too cheap or too picky. An ix going for 22k on Evom will be like 30k+ on autotrader lol. there is no doubt the ix still holds it's value the best. Ten year old car or not they are only getting more rare. That actually brings the desire higher for low mileage ix's. I know most of my car buddies prefer the ct9a over the X any day and would pay more for one.

You also live in Canada, where ct9as were never sold and there are maybe 200 to 500 in the country. In the states they're not treated like unicorns.
