Boost ?

I'm going to get my car tuned here shortly and I had a question. If I want the boost turned up when I get a tune do I need to get a mbc to do it manually or do they do that electronically in the tune?

Call and ask your tuner. If you don't know who is going to tune it, wait to purchase the boost controller. You may buy one thing, but need another (spoken from experience). You can't really use it until tune day anyway.

The only way to to do elec boost is to do pills (mostly trial and error) in the stock lines and have a 3bar map sensor replaced in the intake manny. There is also the GM or Grimspeed (grimspeed) will use all stock parts and connectors and allow the tuner to control all aspects of the boost via the ecu. Both of those will also need the 3bar map replaced.

I use a omni 4bar map, and a grimspeed BC. Both will have to put in at the same time as the new map if your not able to edit the rom.

If you want to adjust the boost you need a boost controller. Either manual or electronic will work fine.
