Noisey Rocks?

Not sure how to word the title lol, but I have a 06 Evo MR and I notice when i'm on backroads or crappy roads in general that I can hear basically every tiny rock that bounces up under my car lol. It's only when I drive my evo, doesn't do it to my other cars..

Was curious if this was normal? Or it's something to do with the type of tires I have?

lol completely normal i drive on 99% smooth roads but the random 1% of rocky paths i encounter will make it sound like my cars getting shot at underneath
especially if your rear is gutted it sounds way worse

Exactly what I was going to say. With all of the salt and rocks they put on the roads here in Georgia lately, you would think someone is sand blasting the undercarriage.

This is the worst sound... its like you can hear the salt corroding your undercarriage in real time haha

I know it's bad here lol. Almost every single road I turn on has a patch of tiny rocks or salt that love to annoy the hell outta me lol. But i'm used to it now.

Curious how loud is the sound from the outside of the car compared to the inside? Can other people hear the rocks bouncing off? Lol
