I hear ya man.

Talk about loud and annoying. How in the world do they let them get away with those noise levels???

That sucks you had a bad run in, but most state troopers don't have quotas. It would also be impossible to know of every different kind of car part, although most people know of hid's by now. with an evo you have to realize you are going to attract good and bad attention. technically he should not have given you a ticket for the plate, his reason for pulling you over was for the lights. once he found out they were oem he should have cut you loose. At that point the terry stop (legal jargon) was over. after that it would seem like an illegal seizure because he would have had no reason for the stop after that. unless he pulled you over for the plates to harrass you for the lights.

well sorry for the prob, but not all cops arre the devil

sano, i see in your profile that you are highway patrol. is that the same thing as a state trooper? the reason i ask is because as discussed earlier in this thread im a little confused as to what would be better. having your license ready for the officer or waiting till he asks for it. whats your opinion?

I never have any problems with the police. I think some of you must drive like *******s and get upset when you get pulled over.

After an experience like that, I would probably try to speak to that Trooper's Commander as soon as possible. Be prepared to give time and location of traffic stop. If the blue lights were his only probable cause, they might even dismiss the no plate citation. Always have your DL, proof of insurance and veh registration in hand to give the officer to avoid a lot of reaching around during the traffic stop. Be respectful and just fess up if you WERE doing anything wrong is the best way to drive away with a warning. Trooper and State Patrol are the same. Good luck.

seems sano has disappeared..

if you can fight it in court (pulled over for spoiler, get ticket for plate) problem is, you'll have to PROVE he pulled you over for the spoiler, not the front plate. All he has to say is I pulled him over for the plate.

Makes me want to get a 'black box' type hidden camera in my car. constantly records over 30 minutes of digital hdd. Maybe even something like the troopers themselves have. Wouldnt that be irony.

I'm pretty sure that's for aftermarket HID's, not OEM. The aftermarket ones are the ones you have to install properly, otherwise, they just shine brightly at people's eyes, but most people who buy them are ricers who don't install them right. Yes, they made it illegal already.
