I had a HUGE lifted truck before I had the EVO, and I got pulled over for having blue headlights. I took it to the CHP office on Santa Clara in Santa Ana, CA, and the CHP officer actually told me that all the Benz's and Bimmer's that I see have the HID's as an aftermarket option. COPS ARE STUPID, they get no respect from me. If I failed at everything in my life, I think I'd be a cop. That's how pathetic they are. If anyone get's pissed because of what I said, no apologies from me (btw, my grandpa was LAPD, so don't lecture me).

I can sleep well at night knowing that state troopers are protecting Americans from blue headlights.

If your not speeding like a maniac and you get pulled over for some other stupid reason like that. If you cop gets out and starts stomping a mud hole in your *** before you even get a chance to talk or make any lewd bodily suggestions ( the finger). After he is done (make sure you keep the "yes sir, no sir" going on your part)get his name, badge number, and police station that he belongs to and tell him that you are going to file a FORMAL complaint against him for conduct unbecomming of an officer of the law.

Also inform him that during the whole process of being pulled over that you in NO PART were disrespectfull to him. If he refuses to provide you with this information, most of it should be on the ticket if its legible. Get behind him and get the partrol car # off of his liscense plate. There is NO EXCUSE for an officer of the law to be as unprofessional as he was.

ALSO MAKE SURE THAT THE POLICE STATION GETS A COPY OF THE VIDEO TAPE OF YOU BEING PULLED OVER!! MOST OF THOSE CAMS HAVE A UNI-DIRECTIONAL MIC TO PIC UP THE CONVERSATION THAT IS TAKING PLACE!!

It is better to have it out and ready, because they are always going to check your license. usually police use lil things to pull you over to check if you have warrants, drunk, drugs, and many other things. no plate is a great way to catch people doing other things. the easier you make it on them the easier they will make it on you(usually). troopers are not out there looking for no plates, headlights, tags, and speeders. they usually use those just to pull some one over so they can look for worse things. Usually

you would have to prove he did not see it first which would be hard unless he just came out and said it. you really need a front plate if required. you WILL get pulled over if you don't. Its an easy reason to pull people over to look for other stuff, usually a warning is sufficient unless other problems occur. I repeat you WILL get pulled over if you don't have the required plates. that is a chance some people take though

sorry to tell you, but this is the first time ive been pulled over in over five years. ive never given cops a reason to pull me over unless you call having HID's a reason.

Best thing to do is try to fight the ticket by going to court. If the trooper does not show up, then you win the case. Also, your ticket will have all the Officer's information on it such as his last name and I.D. number.

Unfortunately, I think he's got you for the front plate. All he has to say is he pulled you over for not having the front license plate. You could argue about the lights, but it won't work. He will just say that he asked you about them because he was investigating if they were aftermarket product.

Also, even if you could prove he pulled you over for the lights and say he ended up finding drugs in your car. Then the case would still be good against you because the officer was acting in good faith that your headlights were illegal.

I don't think that's even possible for a Harley ...

P.S. In fariness, it does mention that motorcycles canot have straight pipes.
Harleys are relatively quiet from the factory - they have to pass the same volume level restrictions that other bikes do. However, a $3 chunk of metal and 5 minutes is all it takes to remove the baffle and make it nice and annoying to everyone within 2 miles.
