You should've taken the care STRAIGHT back to that dealership and demand all your money back. That is illegal as hell.

Did you make them either a) buy you a new set of wheels or b) make them pay to fix. This happened to me at a tire place with my type R (They screwed my wheels up taking the rubber off to replace) and even though I had to get lawyers involved they replaced my type R wheels at 900 bux a pop.

Ah, what the hell....told my story a few times already, here goes.

Car came off of the car carrier and that same day, 36 miles later I had PTV contact. I spent all last year rebuilding and adding stuff. I have no clue how much money I have spent in the last year, I don't want to add the receipts up.....LOL.
Parts replaced due to damage:
Cams
Mivec Cam Gear
Oil pump/ front cover
Oil Cooler
Cylinder bracket
Lifters
Rockers
All timing components

Plenty of other stuff and also upgrades.
Mine started the day I got it!

I tried everything and they best the would do was to go back to the date RPF1s were made and pro rate them for what it would cost to have them fixed and all I got was about 250-300. cost to repair them was much more so i fixed them myself and put the money in the engine build

Bad luck with cars in general lately. I bought a MInt 2008 350z nismo with 8k miles. It was perfect in every way. Some crown ***** slammed it into a guard rail and totaled it after only owning it for 2 months. Rip. Then I bought myself an evo ix. 23k miles. Came with a tbe, cosworth 272, supertech dual Springs, and an intake. I figure it was mostly reverted to stock since I'm not sure Why you'd have cams and no wally or boost controller. Anyways, intake cam snapped next to mivec cam gear and cost me $4,000. My tuner said the oil passages in the mivec gear were clogged and the oil passages weren't lined up properly. This was also after having the car for 2 months. The majority of the time I've owned these two beautiful cars I've been driving around in Dodge avenger rental cars.

When I bought my 06, I had to:

- Replace damaged 6262 Turbo with a 6266
- Fix tcase
- New exedy twin

1500km later:

- 6266 decided to die
- Destroyed 6 speed, so swapped it with a 5 speed
- tcase AGAIN

I am DD her now and she has been trouble free (knock on wood)

I feel everyones pain trust me I've had my problems with my 05 evo VIII.
bought last march in georgia (I live in ohio but amazing deal so couldn't pass it)

2 weeks after purchase: took to buschurs for dyne tune found out bottom end complete **** and slap job main bearing replacement so theres a huge chunk of cash dumped there.
2 months later battery problems cuz of a junk battery previous owner put in it.
one month later coming home from buschurs ate at a mcdonalds and left parking lot some old lady cut me off so i had to swerve quick and ran over curb tore whole side skirt off.
due to all this and the motor being replaced couldn't by a daily for winter so of course we just ad the coldest winter ever and had to jump my car for a whole week from work cuz battery died.
and the most recent 2 months ago in december ran over a dead dear that some one else hit on the peak of a hill and yes thats right it was already dead and couldn't see it at night going over the hill and ran right over it, broke pin in the clutch and cracked the flywheel and dominoes all the way back to the clutch and broke it after just getting a new one installed with the motor.
but as of this year 2014 things have been going great (knock on wood) lol

I was young and stupid back then, i didn't have the money for a lawyer and what not... Now it is too late to do anything about it. It sucks i know. But hey i lived and learned. Thank god the accidents weren't serious ones. Just minor body damage.

But since i have learned from that experience, i promised my self i will never be jerked off again like that. lol

Three years ago at the drag strip one launch with bad wheel hop was enough to grenade the trans (cracked trans housing clean in 2 down the middle) and tear off the ear on the block where the trans mounts to the block. Ended up getting a new block when I had the motor built recently. In hindsight I think the shop that changed my clutch shortly before the launch didn't reattach it to the block correctly.

If anyone had a more expensive launch, I'd like to hear it.
