You'll enjoy 2.79/gal prices although the loss of MPG kinda sucks. Some have done comparisons and cost/benefit of lower E85 prices vs decreased MPG and I think it kinda balances out overall with the edge going to E85 because of the increased knock resistance.

I wish it was that cheap here. I'm paying 3.49 for e85 here :|

I mix 50/50 with 87 so it offsets cost, which still has more than enough knock prevention for my needs.

wow that's crazy high! I'm mad if E85 is 2.82 here lol. But I also live on the TN/KY border and there's an E85 plant not far away plus corn fields for days that provide the corn to the plant.

Where I live in NY we have about 5 stations within 40 miles and the prices fluctuate almost 70 cents. They just charge whatever they want it's a bunch of ****. In April it was 2.99 at 1 station and 3.89 at another and was 1.99 at one point I think.
I've been getting low 12 mpg during my street tuning lol

Yeah it's about the same here price wise but it's not that available surprisingly. There's like one station every few cities away. If I stay local it wouldn't be too bad. I'd definitely be switching between maps a lot though, but I wouldn't mind that.

Sounds like a good set up but I would go with turbo tuff rods over the H beams if I were you

06MR775- I would've loved to get turbo tuff rods but I'm literally spent after the collision shop, etc and I've been at this for 18 months now. The price difference went to everything I need for the airbags. I'm just going to DD for awhile and build an engine over time.

Foul Evo- Thanks man! Hopefully it'll come together soon!

Get this build done! haha I know you're strapped for cash. I def feel your pain after this build I just did. Updated numbers and such in my signature. Ran out of pump at 613hp.

(Updated 12/18/14)

I spun a balance shaft bearing and need to pull the engine. So, I figured I'd do my best to do a build that I can by selling/trading my block, and using that to fund some of it. With that being said, I now plan on doing a 2.4LR build, and not a 2.1SLR Destroker that I originally intended on doing. I can't deny that the 2.4LR is perfect for a street Evo, and that's what my plans/goals are because it's my DD.

Now, I don't have plans for any major horsepower. I was making about 390bhp & 370Ft/tq and had a lot of fun with that, but I wouldn't mind making roughly 450-500 AWHP/TQ range when she's all set, and done.

I'll be having TSComp build, and tune this engine.
(UPDATE: I ended up selling my CRBD BBK and got an HX40. Also. I am building the engine w/ guidance/assistance from Tom, but Tom will still be tuning it.)

I was just looking for your guys' opinions/advice on the parts for the build that I'm using. I plan on going with the following:

4G64 Block w/ Evo 9 Mivec Head:

*Shortblock*
-100mm OEM Micropolished Crank
-156mm Manley H Beam Rods
-87mm Manley Platinum Pistons 9.0:1 CR
-ACL Race Bearings
-ARP Mains
-ARP 2000's
-ARP Head Studs (STD)
-JE ProSeal HG
-OEM Stubby Shaft (BSE)
-New OEM Front Case
-Buschur Racing Modded Oil Pan (added 12/18/14)

*Head* (Evo 9 Mivec Non-ported)
-Kelford Evo 9 272/272 Cams
-Kelford KVS63-BTK High Pressure Beehive Valve Spring & Titanium Retainer Kit
-Kiggly HLA?
-OEM Valve Seals
-Stock Valves

*Fuel*
-RC 1000cc Injectors
-Walbro 255 (modded/rewired) LPH pump
-Stock Fuel Rail
-93 Octane

*Turbo/Bolt-On's*
-Injen UICP
-ETS LICP
-Treadstone/VRSF FMIC (added 12/18/14)
-Invidia N1 CBE (no cat)
-Holset HX40 (added 12/18/14)
-Tial 44mm External Wastegate (added 12/18/14)
-Ceramic Coated XS Power T3 manifold (added 12/18/14)
-Turbo Smart BOV
-Turbo Smart MBC
-Stock Intake Manifold (non-ported)
-STM Oil Cooler

*Trans/Clutch/T-Case*
5 Speed swap built by Agile Auto
ACT HD Street Disc
ACT HD Street Pressure Plate
ACT Street Flywheel
Shep Stage 1 T-Case

*Still Need*
-OEM Knock Sensor
-Airbags
-Seat Belts
-Front Mount

Eventually, I'd like to replace the stock FMIC again (AGP got trashed in my accident), have port work done all around, add a Kiggly HLA + Spoolinup COP, convert to Speed Density, and run E-85.
(UPDATE: I'll be getting a new FMIC because of a turbo change. and hopefully I can work the other parts in as well)

Also If you guys have anything to add please feel free as this is my first build.

Thanks,
Mike
