I would say 300-350 bucks, do you need one or are you selling one?

There are actually 2 different types of evo 8 turbo's. One with the 9.8 hotside or a 10.5 hotside. The only reason you would probably want either is if you where trying to keep the car as original as possible. Otherwise upgrading to an evo 9 turbo or one of the countless aftermarket bolt ons would be the way to go.

Well here's the thing. My engine builder said his employee would buy my stock 8 turbo. Knowing the evo 9 turbos go for about 400 used I told him 100. I thought that was a really good deal. I asked him if it was fair since I can't really find but maybe 2 for sale. He said they normally go for $50..I'm thinking that's way off

Give them turbo and let them install E9 in exchange.

agree with a $250 bottom line on a good one, definitely if it's a 10.5 hotside. I think you could sell one for upwards of $350 to someone who destroys there's and wants to bolt-on replace it cheap.

I haven't followed it, but ever since 9's stopped being upgraded by FP, their value probably came down, and affected 8 values too.

You can hardly give away a 8 turbo with the 9.8 side. I see them sitting in the forums not selling at 150. I would try for that if it were me. Nobody wants them for their Hondas.
