Missing my old Evo
I understand that concern. To reduce the potential for injury I put the baby seat in the middle and not next to the door.
As Grimgrak mentioned, I could have had a shop fab some side impact beams, but I did not know about that back then.
Oh well.

An Evo IX GSR SE is about as rare as they get and still fetch a premium. Personally I would've kept the evo and just got a Camry or anothe safe family sedan. An S4 was a horendous choice, they are riddled with issues and are about as numb to drive as a camry as well.
Sure you can always buy and find another IX SE but It will NEVER be the one you purchased brand new and know it's full history from the day you signed the contract of purchase and the day you drove it off the lot. Personally those are the things i remember vividly well after purchasing my Evo.
I have two kids as well and went ahead and purchased a Camry and Sienna. Selling the Evo never entered my mind.
