Well the title pretty much describes it. But my 03 evo has viper electric start on it. Car starts with the electric start just fine but 7 tiimes out of 10 when i crank it manually with a key, it does not start.

Now i know that my car is mechanically sound and electrically ok when it starts up with a remote start.
What should i trace down to figure out this no start with key issue?

any comments/ suggestions would be appreciated.

It could be worth checking this out. If the starter switch is rotating it won't start but using remote start would bypass this issue.
