so I installed a muse o2 with dump and exhaust is coming out of the dump tube. I thought it was only for wastegate and now my car is super loud. I checked all bolts and gasked is a divided gasket but its still insanely loud?? plz txt me 208 761 4649 thanks guys trying to get done before Christmas.

 

Are you saying that your Wastegate is leaking?

 

Are you saying it's really loud at idle or when you're driving

 

Adjust the preload (tighten) on the wastegate actuator

 

Is it loud under boost? If so, that's normal for o2 dumps since it dumps in to the atmosphere. I notice your location says Seattle, but your area code is 208. Are you in Boise? I am in Boise, but unfortunately, wouldn't have time to help until Sunday/Monday if you are in Boise.

 

You used the wrong gasket, has to have a divider.

 

dang i haven't updated this sorry guys. yes i lived in boise now I'm in socal but moving back to boise soon. it was the waste gate actuator it was way loose so tightened it up and the car was quiet again thanks guys

 

My brother has a evo 8 with a 9.8 turbo and has same issue.

Correct gasket and also preload was adjusted.

We are saying its the ****ty evo 8 turbo
