Original Clutch lasted 106,000 miles (still working)
I just typed this and Chrome crashed when I submitted...
Finally time to replace the clutch
2006 Evo MR
375whp (mustang)
HTA71
E85
ORIGINAL stock clutch 106k miles
I bought the car (stock) at 79k miles, It was very well maintained and all records kept(even oil changes)
88k miles it was tuned to 300whp
98k miles it was tuned to 375whp
I've taken it to a drag strip 3 times I think. But I've never really launched the car. More like 3k pull outs. I've never tried to take off at 5200rpm. I knew the clutch wouldn't handle that.
I've been running 93oct for the winter. But last night I switched it back to E85.
This morning I was excited to feel that extra power again. I gave it a WOT pull in 3rd and the needle went straight to redline... It still drives great and will probably last another 10k miles daily driving without an issue. But I'm just going to finally bite the bullet and change it out with an Exedy Stage 1.
I just wanted to put this up to show how far it made it. I see people putting up that their clutches only last 10-15k miles. That seems crazy to me. I assume those cars are just driven really hard or something.
Anybody else riding on stock clutch with mods?
High mileage on a clutch?

Is it necessary to swap out a clutch at an interval or based on feeling the clutch beginning to slip? I am almost at 60k on the current ACT clutch and don't feel it's necessary unless I am having an sort of signs to swap it out. I don't track the car or drive it hard enough to warrant most of the recommendations that others should abide by. It was a highway queen for the past 30k and the prior owner put on 30k with here and there autoX days.
When do you suggest swapping it out? 60k even if you do normal daily drives or may go WOT here and there?

I have the original clutch on my 2005. 130000 miles. still going strong. barely above stock power though. have another stock exedy ready to go in. MBK 1001. probably won't need it for a while though. daily driven 100 miles a day.

NJ there's no interval, change it when it starts showing signs. The flywheel should probably get a resurface anyway. I have replaceable plates.
Bonezilla, Pat is changing the RX-7 clutch this weekend. Mine still drives, but I want to do it soon.
