Gap between headlight & fender on one side

I'm putting my headlights back on and I'm noticing that the driver's side light does not sit flush with the fender. The gasket does not touch the bumper

I don't remember seeing this before I removed the headlight so I'm confused as to what's wrong. All the clips are lining up with the bolt holes and there doesn't seem to be anything blocking it...

Bad:

Good:

Anyone see this before and know how to fix it? Or any ideas...?

loosen all the bolts see if it will shift up and tighten it back down while holding it.

The problem is if line up the headlight so it sits flush with the fender, the clips don't line up... I'm so confused...

I'm assuming here....
Sounds like frame damage. Improperly jacking up the car maybe?
Not trying to offend. Are you the first owner?

I'm not the first owner, but I've had the car for years and I'm pretty sure I would have noticed this.

I don't even know how you could affect this area by improperly jacking it.

I do know that I'm ready to throw this headlight across the room.

I feel your pain. I had the same issue when I had some cheap body work done on my eclipse years ago. I didn't notice a gap until I removed the headlights to do some electrical work.

Basically the body shop line up the headlights with shims and bubble gum.... I lived with it.

Hopefully someone else can offer a better assessment.
