Probably forgot to hook up one of the cables going to the HVAC. Do the controls still work?

I been on the same concept . Idk if I want to take my car in because of all the bad stuff I hear . Is the airbag ? And I have all aem guauges and don't want them to charge me to labor for aftermarket parts
