Oil filter to catch debris
Hi guys
I know there's a company that makes oil filters to catch actual matter that would usually end up in the oil pan, i'm looking for what size or what filter would actually fit the evo ix.
I believe it also was a free flowing filter, allowing it to catch almost every piece of debris.
I'm looking for this due to recent particles found in my oil pan that was showing premature wear on my engine, I just would like to keep a watch on it.
Thanks!

I owe you an apology, I'm just jealous that I'm too poor to afford fancy oil filters and when I see someone discuss them so casually, in a moment of abject frustration and weakness I attempted to subvert you to accept my advice to sabotage your crankshaft bearings, using the wretched oils and meager filtration of the plebeian masses please forgive me.

This actually made me laugh. I was under the impression these mentioned filters were actually for engine break in periods. I know the filters most people use have bypass valves on them and this one doesnt. If you already have debri in the oil pan from rod bearings, why not just drop the pan and install new bearings? Running this filter wont fix your problem, it will be a bandaid.

Im not sure of what was causing debris in my oil pan, but i firmly believe that spending 100 dollars to check if your engines taking premature wear is a good deal. I have used amsoil filters but I dont like how they get bypassed. The same kind of reason people buy oil catch cans.. to monitor and save your engine. Pretty reasonable expense if you ask me, especially being reuseable. Never have to buy another oil filter

I've never pulled an oil pan that didn't have some amount of small brass/aluminum filings in the pan. You have to remember that what is in the pan is unfiltered. The oil pump picks it up, shoves it through the filter, through the engine, then back to the pan. Small filings aren't exactly bad. It's bad when you drain the oil and it looks like a rainbow when you shine a light through it lol
