about to tackle replacing wheel bearing

Good day,

I am here to ask for guidance, as this is my first evo, and want to take care of it. Now, on to business..

Has any of you dealt with getting the wheel bearing/hub assembly from Autozone/O'reilly/Advance Auto and had no issues?

Any input is welcome! Thank you in advance.

If it's not Timken or OEM, I wouldn't bother.

Stay away from the Dura last bearing. Definitely recommend Mooge Timken or OEM, it's worth spending the extra money so you don't have to do the darn thing again.

go to mitsubishiparts.net and buy OEM. Do it right the first time because its a pain to change the wheel bearings and its smart to do it once and not twice or be a baller and get the curt ceramic wheel bearings and last forever

If it is an OEM wheel bearing with over 90k or so on it or its seen a few winters, be ready for a real good time getting the axles to release from the splines. Mine were so bad that they had to be taken out of the car as a subassembly and pressed out with a 20 ton shop press. You will need extreme amounts of heat, and carefully applied brute force. Good luck.

It is OEM from what I saw, but the front axles were removed and were replaced when EvoD replaced the clutch 2 weeks ago. I should've done it then but totally forgot. The rear axles are bad so that will be replaced.
